Since its founding in 1985, Southland Business Group has
provided corporate valuation services to hundreds of
clients. We produce well reasoned, well supported
opinions of value that stand up to the scrutiny of third
parties. We pride ourselves in producing reports that
are understandable to all readers, including those that
may not have advanced training in accounting and
finance.
Businesses require valuations for a number of reasons.
-
Business Planning
-
Corporate
Restructuring, Reorganization and Recapitalizations
-
Buy/Sell Agreements
-
Buy-Out or Buy-In of
an Owner
-
Disputes Among Owners
Because our reports are easily understood by the reader,
they are often used as the basis of a starting point for
negotiation between disputing parties, thus providing an
opportunity to avoid the time consuming and costly
process of court. However, in cases that are ultimately
litigated, our reports stand-up in court.
Sometimes the buy-out of an owner is an amicable
situation in which the owners want to ensure the buy-out
price is “fair.” In these situations, a written report
may not be necessary and our “Buyer/Seller Consultation”
service may meet the needs of the client.
